國立屏東大學參訪加拿大頂尖學府亞伯達大學(University of Alberta),深入交流並探討原住民事務合作議題。此次訪問由屏東大學陳永森校長及國際事務處陳皇州國際長代表訪問,亞伯達大學國際事務處則由副校長Dr. Chen Huang熱情接待。此外,原住民研究學院(Faculty of Native Studies)由該學院院長克里斯·安德森(Dr. Chris Andersen)教授親自接待,展現雙方對於合作的高度重視。National Pingtung University recently visited Canada’s top academic institution, the University of Alberta, to engage in in-depth discussions on potential collaborations related to Indigenous affairs. This delegation, led by NPTU President Dr. Yung-Sen Chen and Director of International Affairs Dr. Huang-Chou Chen, was warmly received by Dr. Chen Huang, Vice President of International Affairs at the University of Alberta. Additionally, Dr. Chris Andersen, Dean of the Faculty of Native Studies, personally hosted the delegation, underscoring the importance both institutions place on this collaboration.

在會談中,雙方不僅交流了原住民議題的研究成果與教學經驗,並就未來在該領域的學術合作展開了深入討論。屏東大學與亞伯達大學就建立姐妹校關係達成初步共識,雙方期望通過此次會晤,進一步加強彼此在學術及文化領域的連結,為未來的合作奠定穩固基礎。此次訪問不僅象徵著屏東大學在國際合作領域的積極拓展,也為原住民事務研究的跨國協作開啟了新的篇章。During the discussions, both institutions shared research achievements and educational practices concerning Indigenous issues and explored future academic collaborations in this area. They reached a preliminary consensus on establishing a sister-school relationship, aiming to strengthen academic and cultural ties. Through this visit, NPTU and the University of Alberta laid a strong foundation for future cooperation, marking a significant step for NPTU in its efforts to expand international collaboration and initiate cross-border partnerships in Indigenous affairs research.
